OUR STORY
Learning designed to
change everything.
Value Shape Learning was founded on a simple but powerful belief: information alone doesn't change behavior. Real transformation requires intentional design.
MEET AMY DAWN RUFINO
The mind behind the mission.
Amy Dawn Rufino is a learning experience designer, educator, and speaker who has spent her career at the intersection of human behavior and organizational development. She founded Value Shape Learning to bring rigorous, research-backed learning design to individuals and organizations who are ready to grow.
With a background spanning corporate training, government education, and media production, Amy brings a rare combination of creative vision and behavioral science to every experience she designs. Her work is grounded in the belief that learning isn't complete until it changes behavior.
When she's not designing transformational learning experiences, Amy is hosting The Learning Lab™ — a show dedicated to exploring how people learn, grow, and create lasting change.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Why we do what we do.
"To design learning experiences that inspire action, build confidence, and create lasting behavior change — for individuals, teams, and organizations ready to grow."
What we value
Intentional Design
Every experience is built with purpose. We don't create content for content's sake — we design for outcomes.
Behavioral Science
Our work is grounded in how people actually learn, not just how we wish they did. Research informs everything.
Real People
We design for humans — with all their complexity, context, and competing priorities. No ivory-tower solutions.
Measurable Impact
We believe learning should be accountable. If it doesn't change behavior, we go back to the drawing board.
BRAND ESSENCE
The values that shape us.
Learning That Changes Behavior.
Everything we do stems from one idea. These are the principles that guide it.
- 1.
Learning Starts with Curiosity
We begin with meaningful questions, not assumptions.
- 2.
Learning Happens Through Experience
People learn best by doing, reflecting, and applying.
- 3.
Understanding Should Lead to Action
Knowledge has little value until it changes decisions or behavior.
- 4.
Design for Humans
Every experience should be engaging, inclusive, and practical.
- 5.
Progress Over Perfection
Small improvements create meaningful transformation over time.
- 6.
Measure What Matters
We focus on meaningful outcomes — not completion rates.
- 7.
Never Stop Learning
Learning is a lifelong practice of growth and adaptation.
"Learning isn't complete until it changes behavior."
